EDITING TIME, POST-PRODUCTION
POST PRODUCTION DIARY
Finally, we got the time to start with our editing.
First step was to make the footage, it lasts forever.
I've never imagined how hard would be just the part labelling every single sequence! Bam spent near 2 hours naming 'Day 1' folders.
It was that hard that he asked us to do 'Day 2' by our self. It took to me near 3 hours at home because we had too many clips. To be fair, Nigel helped us with all the process.
After footage and Qcing done we could start editing our burglary project.
It was third time for me using Premiere so, I spent hours watching tutorial videos on Youtube.
As, I didn't have time enough at college to finish it I transfer the folders to my personal laptop to continue at home.
I was so excited discovering different ways to edit with effects, music and much more. But firstly I had to chose the good clips to work with them, then the hardest part was make them match.
[Reflective side]
What skills have I gained?
Premiere became familiar to me, I know how to use basic tools and editing is getting easy for me.
I already know how to do the footage well organized.
Having all the clips organized made me find quick the necessary files and saving time too.
How did I work in my team?
I tried to do my best but this part was individual.
What do I need to improve?
I have to work more my editing knowledge. Watching more tutorials and asking for help to my classmates. I can save a lot of time working with their help than on my own way.
Did I improve from my last project?
When I started the course I didn't know about Premiere, I was scared just knowing I needed to use it because all my classmates had experience with it, now I feel more confident but still need to work more to get it at 100%.
